    International Youth Tiger Summit

     

    International Youth Tiger Summit is a conference attended by youngsters from 13 tiger range countries and other countries with deep concern on tiger conservation. The Youth Tiger Summit will be held in Vladivostok city, Russia Far East from 18-25 November 2010, almost the same time with International Forum on Tiger Conservation meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia on 21-24 November 2010.


    The youths will gather and exchange ideas in Youth Tiger Summit regarding public campaign on tiger conservation. They will visit Siberian tiger habitat and actively interact with people living surrounding the areas and also WWF species experts. At the end of the summit, they will make youth declaration to be directly delivered to the Heads of Governments as supports to undertake National and Global Tiger Recovery Plan which will be pledged and ratified in St. Petersburg.

    Indonesia will send 2 students of Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta to be the Indonesian representatives. They were chosen from a creative competition conducted by WWF-Indonesia on July 2010.
