WWF-Indonesia has launched the Save Sumatra campaign to protect Sumatra’s flagship species and their forest habitats.
The campaign seeks to rally individuals, conservation groups, businesses and governments in support of protecting these endangered species and the threats to them from the continued conversion of natural forest.
Sumatran tigers, rhinos and orangutans are critically endangered and Sumatran elephants are endangered. And the forests they need to survive are in serious, alarming decline.
WWF is the world’s largest conservation organization. In 1998, WWF International Indonesia Program Office became WWF Indonesia. WWF Indonesia is in partnership with several related NGOs and governmental institutions to reach its campaign goals.

We invite you to join us in this critical effort to Save Sumatra. We are at the 11th hour for saving these species. Continued rampant forest destruction not only destroys habitat for Sumatra’s species, but also forces wildlife into closer contact with people, which can be dangerous for all involved. Human-wildlife conflict is on the increase across Sumatra.
We need your help! SaveSumatra.org provides more information about the issues facing Sumatra’s species and ways you can become involved.
